At Forest Floor we believe that children grow best outside, and our students are the proof. We’ve been taking children on unforgettable adventures into the Appalachian wilds for over 12 years. In that time we’ve grown from a humble two-person team with a handful of young explorers one day a week to a now thriving ecosystem of programs running 6 days a week and serving over 500 individual kids a year.
In all this time, Forest Floor has remained committed to providing our powerful nature connection mentoring experiences for ALL children, regardless of their families financial means. Thru fundraising campaigns, tuition+ registration options, work trade options, and our own funding, Forest Floor has always worked hard to serve families in need.

How To Make a Donation
As always, Forest Floor uses 100% of the funds we receive for the Scholarship Fund. There are small fees for our sponsor admin expenses, and of course if by card a processing fee.
If you pay by check, it helps avoid the credit card processing fee. Simply mail us a check made out to “PensacolaCAN on behalf of Forest Floor WP” mailed to Forest Floor 315 Old Haw Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
There’s also a convenient online donation form at GiveLively.com for donating by credit card if you find that more convenient. Recurring monthly donations are supported as well and a great way to make an ongoing difference a bit at a time.
